Standard mobile advertising is 300×50 or 320×50 pixel ads, static or animated. Usually placed at the top or bottom of a webpage. In particular, this is the most popular ad format on the Admob network (the largest advertising network for mobile applications from Google).

Interstitial mobile ads

Ads that are shown to the user before he navigates to the site with content of interest.

Drop-down mobile ads (rich media)

They are a combination of standard and interstitial mobile ads. At first, a banner of the size of 300×50 or 320×50 pixels is shown to the user, when clicking on which the ad “opens” to the whole page.

Video advertising

Commercials are of two types:

  • Skippable – you can skip or close after starting playback;
  • Non-skippable – cannot be closed until the end of playback.

Native advertising

The peculiarity of native mobile advertising is that it harmoniously fits into the content of the Internet page and contains useful (interesting) information. Due to this, it looks and is perceived not as an advertisement, and therefore does not annoy users.

The choice of format depends on many factors, but most of all on the advertising budget. For example, only large brands can afford native advertising because of its high prices.
