Having a Google My Business page for your company with complete, relevant information will make a tremendous difference when it comes to your company’s local SEO. Since Google uses a user’s location to decide on the order of search results on the page, having a fully filled out Google My Business page will shoot your page all the way to the top when somebody in your area searches for services that you provide. It is important that your Google Business page has your location, hours, a description of your company and services or products, your contact details and some pictures. If your business is a restaurant, it is a great idea to upload your menu together with the prices and some photos of the food to help people decide if they want to visit your establishment.
If you’re using a computer to add photos to your Google business page, simply sign into your Google business account, find Photos in the menu on the left side of the page and click on it. A menu will pop up, offering you to choose the type of photo you’re adding, you need to choose the one describes the image best. Finally, simply upload the photo from your computer.
Another great thing about Google My Business pages is that you can actually post on them just like on any other social media account. This means you can tell people about special offers, sales, events and product releases. These posts will expire and be deleted after a week, so you don’t need to keep track of their relevance.
To post on your Google My Business Page, simply sign in to your account and go to the home page. Find the Posts tab in the menu on the left and click on it – a box that says “Write a post” should appear on your screen. Next, click the box and upload a photo or video, enter some text and select an appropriate button from the selection of actions that people who view the post can take. Add a link to the post if you would like using the special field, preview your post and post it to your business page – it should appear in a few minutes.
